Texans Incorporated Reunion 2009
The Fifth Annual Texans Incorporated Reunion was held on November 7th 2009 at TexasBank in Bangs, Texas, and it may have been the best gathering of enthusiasts yet. Lamp collectors and historians came from all over to Bangs, the former home of the lamp factory, to reunite with old friends, buy, sell, and trade lamps, and learn more about the unique Texas institution that was Texans Incorporated.
This event is always highly anticipated, due in part to the spectacular displays presented by David and Martha Cole. Each year has had a unique theme, and 2009 saw a tremendous assortment of table lamps produced at Texans, their glow casting a beautiful light throughout the exhibit. In contrast to previous years, these lamps made extensive use of fiberglass shades, also made at Texans Inc. Their undeniable visual appeal, and the hard work put forth by the Cole's, made the fifth reunion one to remember.

The funnel-shaped shade in the foreground was the only reproduction shade in the exhibit, as no originals exist.

Those shades!

I don't think Texans ever had a display this spectacular at the trade shows!
